WHERE WILL YOU BE WORKING?

The “Supervision of company information” service is responsible for supervising the information disseminated by listed companies. The supervision concerns:

  • information published on the occasion of an IPO, mergers, takeover bids, etc.
  • periodic information, including sustainability reporting
  • inside information.

The sustainability reporting requirements for listed companies are evolving rapidly. Adjusting supervisory practice to these changing requirements is one of the major challenges facing the service in the coming years.

WHAT WILL YOUR JOB ENTAIL?

You will be working together with your colleagues, most of whom are legal advisors or economists, on the supervision of sustainability reporting by listed companies.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

  • A Master’s degree in environmental or bioengineering.
  • An explicit interest in the financial markets and in the ESG challenges that companies must address.
  • A proactive approach, strong analytical skills and a capacity for synthesis.
  • The ability to maintain high-level contacts and to conduct negotiations with the companies under supervision.
  • The capacity to communicate about technical topics in a clear manner.
  • You are a team player but you also work well independently.
  • Your strengths are eagerness to learn and solution-oriented thinking.
  • Solid competence in Dutch, French and English.
  • A good knowledge of the commonly used Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Preferably a few years’ professional experience.
  • Commitment to the tasks of general interest with which the FSMA is entrusted.
