File Manager for the Supervision of insurance products and of supplementary pensions department

Where will you be working?

You will be employed as a file manager in a department that exercises a threefold supervisory mandate.

The first of those is the supervision of insurance products (life and non-life). The department’s task is to verify that the marketing of such products is accompanied by transparent pre-contractual information and that the products offered are useful to consumers (Value for Money).

The two other areas of supervision concern supplementary pensions. On the one hand, the department is responsible for the prudential supervision of institutions for occupational retirement provision (IORP), also known as ‘pension funds’. On the other hand, it is entrusted with the social supervision of second pillar pensions. The latter are supplementary pensions built up in the context of an occupational activity, regardless of whether they are managed by an IORP or an insurance company.

As part of a distinct team, you will carry out various support tasks for a multidisciplinary group (legal advisors, economists and actuaries).

  • Gathering and processing information of various sorts that will serve as the basis for drawing up certain types of reports.
  • Responding to a wide range of requests for information relating to the above supervisory domains, in particular as regards aspects of reporting.

What knowledge, experience and skills do you bring?

  • A Bachelor’s diploma (non-university). A specialization in accountancy, insurance or finance is an asset.
  • Excellent spoken and written Dutch and French. A practical knowledge of English.
  • An analytical mind-set.
