The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) warns the public against the activities of Service Qualité des Plateformes Boursières (SQPB), a company that offers highly risky investment instruments in Belgium without complying with Belgian financial legislation.

Service Qualité des Plateformes Boursières (SQPB) contacts people who had previously been victims of investment fraud, claiming to be able to help them recover the sums they had invested with unauthorized companies.

This practice is typical of “recovery room” fraud, a fraud mechanism about which the FSMA published a warning on 16 March 2015. Experience shows that the fees charged with a view to recovering one’s investment never make it possible to get back the money invested, and the fees paid for the purpose are thus lost as well.

The FSMA therefore strongly advises against responding to any offers of financial services made by Service Qualité des Plateformes Boursières (SQPB) and against transferring money to any account number it might mention.

Service Qualité des Plateformes Boursières (SQPB) claims to have its registered office in United Kingdom (Business Center Office, 8-10 Station Road, N22 7TR, River Park House, Alexandra House/Eurotech Building, London). Its logo refers fraudulently to CySEC, the AMF and the FSA.

The email addresses it uses include: jeanmarc.hupmbert@sqpb.com ; jeanmarc.humbert@qualityservice.com and mickael.g@qualityservice.com.

The FSMA recommends vigilance with regard to companies offering recovery services. In case of doubt as to a service being offered to you, fee free to contact the FSMA directly (email: info@fsma.be).
