Experienced Auditor for the “Statutory Auditors” unit of the FSMA’s Central Inspection Team
Our inspectors conduct quality reviews of audit firms and their audit files on behalf of the Belgian Audit Oversight Board (BAOB).
As a supervisory authority, the BAOB ensures that the tasks carried out by statutory auditors are of high quality, objective and independent, and it enforces the legislative and regulatory framework. Since 2024, it also examines opinions on sustainability reports published in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
The BAOB calls on the FSMA’s inspectors to conduct quality checks of PIE audit firms[1]. These inspectors will very soon also conduct inspections on auditors’ opinions on sustainability reports (ESG[2]).
We work mainly with and for people, and strive to enhance trust in financial reporting among families saving for the future, investors and all those who stand to benefit from correct financial – and soon – non-financial reporting by companies.
We are recruiting committed professionals who are interested in a career working in the public interest, with competitive benefits and flexibility when it comes to work-life balance.
