In his capacity as chairman of the IFRS Foundation Monitoring Board, Jean-Paul Servais, chairman of the FSMA and vice-chairman of IOSCO, received Mr Erkki Liikanen and Mr Emmanuel Faber in Brussels. Mr Liikanen is chairman of the IFRS Foundation Trustees and Mr Faber is chairman of the ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board).
They discussed the priorities of the ISSB, among which, inter alia, developing sustainability related corporate disclosure standards with a high sense of momentum through quality processes, and truly embedding global inclusiveness and adoption considerations in the work from inception.
This visit was also the opportunity for Mr Erkki Liikanen and Mr Emmanuel Faber to discover the Wikifin Lab, the fully digital centre for financial education of the FSMA, and to discuss the close links between financial education and sustainable finance.
