Jean-Paul Servais, the Chairman of the FSMA and Chair of IOSCO, was in New York during the week of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He held a series of high-level meetings reinforcing the importance of international dialogue at the highest level and focusing on global cooperation and coordination in the area of financial markets and the protection of investors.
During his stay in New York, he also gave an interview to Bloomberg Intelligence's Scarlet Fu and Paul Sweeney, to discuss IOSCO's role in fostering resilient global financial markets through international cooperation among financial markets supervisors, addressing emerging risks in cross-border markets, and focusing on the impact of technology on financial markets.
