The Law of 6 December 2018 transposing the IDD entered into force on 28 December 2018. This European Directive introduces new rules for insurance distribution. This year, the FSMA publishes a series of Newsletters to inform you about the major changes regarding insurance intermediaries. This Newsletter contains information about the new professional knowledge requirements applicable to persons exercising certain functions in insurance intermediaries or insurance undertakings.

  • Exams: exam modules instead of exams per insurance branch
  • 'Trainee PCP'-status : in the insurance sector as well
  • Follow-up training: minimum 15 hours per year
  • Practical experience: minimum 6 months
