In 2024-2025, the FSMA carried out inspections among brokers in banking and investment services.
In its sector report, the FSMA set out various observations made in the process. The FSMA expects obliged entities not inspected in this round to conduct an internal evaluation, on the basis of the observations made in this report, of their AML/CFT organization in order to detect and remedy any infringements or weaknesses in respect of the Belgian AML/CFT Law and the FSMA Regulation (available in Dutch and French only).
