Renewal of the term of office of the FSMA Chairman, FSMA Deputy Chairman and Members of the Management Committee

The mandate of the Chairman of the FSMA, Jean-Paul Servais, has been renewed. The new term of office is for a period of six years, until March 2027.

Jean-Paul Servais has led the FSMA since its creation in 2011. Before that, he was Chairman of the FSMA's predecessor. This re-appointment is linked with his existing and new international functions: he is Vice-Chair of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and Chair of the European Regional Committee of IOSCO. He is also Chair of the Monitoring Board of the IFRS Foundation, which oversees accounting standard-setting, and Co-Chair of the Monitoring Group responsible for monitoring international audit standard-setting. In his capacity as FSMA Chairman, he is member of the Board of Supervisors of ESMA and member of the ESRB.

The mandates of the Deputy Chairman and of the two Members of the Management Committee were also renewed for six years.

The Royal Decrees on these renewals have been published in the Belgian Official Journal.
