Economist or a legal counsel in the Supervision of company information department - Issuances unit

Would you like to contribute as an economist or a legal advisor to better consumer protection and to increasing public trust in the financial sector?

Then come and join our team at the FSMA!

And deploy your expertise in law or economics in the “Supervision of company information” department, and in particular in the “Issuances” unit.

You will be working in the “Supervision of company information” department, and in particular in the “Issuances” unit.

Together with the other employees in this unit, you will be responsible for supervising unlisted companies that use forms of alternative finance (including crowdfunding/-lending, tax shelter, cooperative shares, etc.) to raise capital from the public. The supervision in question focuses on an ex ante examination of the contents of prospectuses that will be published when a public offer is made and on the ex-post verification of information notes. The examination looks at the completeness, consistency and comprehensibility of the information in such prospectuses or information notes. The department also works closely with the “Supervision of information disseminated by listed companies” department in the framework of issuances by listed companies.

As a legal advisor or economist, you will work in collaboration with other legal advisors and economists in the department to supervise the information disseminated by unlisted companies.
