List of pension institutions as referred to in article 22 of the law of 12 JULY 1957

Article 32 of the Law on Supplementary Pensions (LPC/WAP) governs the transferability of reserves in cases where a member exits the plan. When a member exits otherwise than by retirement or death, he or she has a choice as to where to transfer the reserves. One of the options is to transfer the vested reserves, increased where applicable to the amounts guaranteed under Article 24 of the LPC/WAP, to an insurance company or institution that distributes all profits among members in proportion to their reserves and limits the costs in line with the rules laid down by the King (Article 32, § 1, 2° LPC/WAP).

The institutions in question are those that hold an authorization as referred to in Article 22 of the Law of 12 July 1957 on the retirement and survivor’s pension for employees. They are required to fulfil certain conditions laid down in the Royal Decree of 14 November 2003 laying down the conditions for authorization of insurance companies and institutions with a view to performing the insurance transactions referred to in the Royal Decree of 14 November 2003 on fringe benefits granted to employees referred to in Royal Decree No 50 of 24 October 1967 on the retirement and survivor pension of employees.

The following institutions currently hold a provisional authorization in accordance with Article 6 of the Royal Decree of 14 November 2003:
