The FSMA supports the national cybersecurity campaign

Press release
Fraud: a credit card attached to a fishhook lying on a keyboard

The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) supports the campaign launched by the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) and the Cyber Security Coalition on the topic of cybersecurity, and specifically on the phenomenon of phishing.

The month of October is European Cyber Security Month. It is on the occasion of this European initiative that the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) and the Cyber Security Coalition launched an awareness campaign on this subject.

Vigilance online is more crucial than ever. Cybercriminals are finding more creative ways all the time to achieve their goals. The campaign launched this month seeks to remind us of the signs that alert consumers to be extremely wary. It invites them to detect fake messages and forward any suspect messages to the following address: suspect@safeonweb.be.

As part of this campaign, materials (videos, posters, etc.) have been made available free of charge to companies and other organizations that wish to arm their staff or clients against phishing. A test (available in FrenchDutch only) also enables surfers to find out whether they are able to spot suspect messages in sufficient time.
