Newsletter: Extension of the transition period for the old accredited exams per class of insurance

News article

In the light of the current public health crisis, a considerable number of exam sessions in the insurance sector were suspended.

It has therefore been decided that candidates who registered for the old accredited exams per class of insurance before 31 December 2020 will have three extra months to pass those exams.

This communication FSMA_2020_18 (available in French or Dutch only) applies to persons who registered before 31 December 2020 for one or more accredited exams per class of insurance. If they pass the exam(s) in question between 1 January and 31 March 2021 inclusive, these results are acceptable as proof that they have the requisite professional knowledge.

The new, module-based exam system will, however, enter into force on 1 January 2021.
