What to do if you have been the victim of fraud?

If you have been the victim of a fraud, follow these 4 recommendations!

  1. Don’t send any more money, even if the company is asking you for an additional payment or to pay a tax before you can receive any profits. These additional demands are often the sign of fraud.
  2. Stay calm if you are contacted again, don’t take any hasty decisions and don’t give in to pressure or threats by fraudsters.
  3. 3. Be vigilant in the face of new attempts at fraud. You may well be contacted again by swindlers claiming to try to help you recover your investment. More information about recovery rooms.
  4. Feel free to contact the FSMA. In addition to notifying the FSMA, it is a good idea to file a complaint with the police as well. The contact information for the police is available on the website www.police.be.
