Have you received a suspicious email or message? If so, forward it to suspicious@safeonweb.be and then delete it.
Suspicious@safeonweb.be is an email address of the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB). Only messages that were sent to the above-mentioned address by the recipient of the suspicious email will be processed.
The information forwarded will be automatically scanned with up-to-date anti-virus technology. If the scan identifies any problem, a technical expert will examine the message in detail to ensure that it can no longer disrupt the smooth operation of the network and of electronic communication.
The CCB reports the fraudulent messages it identifies to the major suppliers of antivirus software and internet browsers. They in turn can thus incorporate these viruses into their antivirus programmes and block the fraudulent links.
Please exercise great vigilance when forwarding a suspicious email or message. Make sure you do not accidentally click on the suspicious link or open the suspicious attachments.
